Neville Fenwick

We were extremely sad to learn of the recent death of Neville Fenwick, our Commodore from 1995-1998

Grid Iron, the Scottish Theatre company paid him this tribute:

Neville was a brilliant carpenter and set builder and worked on many Grid Iron shows.

He took even our most unusual requests in his stride, from being asked to sink fence posts along a half-mile stretch of pathway in Alloway to constructing a gigantic spider (a homage to Louise Bourgeois’ Maman) in Dundee’s Verdant Works. While those requests would often be met with a quizzical, ‘are you sure?’ look, he always delivered with his signature skill and panache.

A gentle, talented, interesting and interested man, he was one of a kind, and will be missed.
