FCYC Pre-Season Social

Spring has started, Lift In’s nearly here so come along to the FCYC Pre-Season Social.

Saturday 1st April at Trinity Bowling Club (7pm) there will be:

A short film about “The Aileach” – a Celtic Galley looked after by the Lord of the Isles Galley Trust

Curry!!!!  At the bargain price of £3  per person. Pay on the night.

Hear about the 2017 Sailing Programme and a demo on how to use Big Tent – a booking system  for putting skippers and crews together.

Doors open at 7pm – come along!

Racing – What is it?

Our last “Off The Water” talk/meeting is on Tuesday 28th March 2017 in the Bell Block at 7pm.

It will be headed up by our Sailing Secretary Kenny Allan and will cover general points about racing including our Sailing Programme and will include the ABC’s of Racing……. to Handicaps, Starting a Race, Sailing a Course, Trimming Sails and Finishing a Race.

Off The Water Training – 28th February

The second Off The Water Training session is Tuesday 28th February.  It will be hosted by Frank Martin – the topic is sailing. Its hoped that discussion on the night will be used to help plan the On The Water training programme for 2017.

As ever, all Corinthians are welcome, it will be held in the Bell Block starting at 7pm.

Burns’ Night ‘Hoolie by the Water’

RFYC Acoustic Music Sessions

RFYC are holding monthly acoustic music sessions in their club house. They are on the first Sunday of the month, 2pm – 5pm. The exception to this is January’s session which will be on Sunday 8th January 2017.

Corinthians welcome to pop along for a pint and a tune!

Off The Water Training Event – Race Officer Duty The Corinthian Way

The first of the FCYC Off The Water Training Events will be held ladies race 2013on Tuesday 31st January, 7pm – 8pm in the Bell Block.

We rely on our members to carry out many voluntary tasks.  One of them is Race Officer. If you are planning to be involved in racing this season you will be expected to help out with at least one Race Officer Duty.

Eddie Myatt will talk to us about how to run a race, so come along and join in the banter.
