Ahoy Corinthians – Destination Burntisland – H.W. 1326hrs (B.S.T.)
For the third in our series of ‘Cruise in Company’ events the proposal is to head to Burntiisland Harbour. The decision is based on forecast westerly winds being around 15 – 20 knots (gusts). A sail to Burntisland is a relatively straight sail for those light handed and with young crew. Once in the harbour preferred berthing is to raft up in the inner harbour which is well sheltered. diagram here – Forth Corinthian Yacht Club – CiC July 2016
Meet at Granton on the pontoon at 11.00am
Enjoy your picnic lunch and refreshment while rafted up with other club boats and for the more energetic – a wee dawnder ashore might be in order.
It’s also Burntisland Sailing Club’s Regatta on Sunday and I have contacted the commodore to alert him to our plans and I have asked if we can visit their clubhouse. I’ll let everyone know on Sunday if this is possible.
Enjoyable sail-in-company back to Granton aiming to leave Burntisland around 2.30pm/3.00pm
Everyone encouraged to join in the cruise including families, children, dogs and dinghies!
