Sailing Courses and Sailing Jobs

This post is intended to answer enquiries about sailing jobs and sailing courses on the river Forth.

The FCYC has not provided sail training for a number of years and the only staff employed are on the bar at weekends and cleaning staff.

The nearest provider of courses on the river Forth is the Port Edgar Sailing School. Information on their excellent courses can be found at:

Slightly south of Edinburgh the East Lothian Yacht Club also provides excellent tuition:

If you are visiting Edinburgh during August and September, it may be worth getting a job at the Fringe. It may not be terribly nautical, but it's a good way to experience the city. See:
