Pontoon Discounts

Discount Rates for Marina Permit Holders

A new trial scheme is now in operation to encourage mid-week sailing at Edinburgh Marina. Overnight rates for the pontoons will be halved for Permit Holders during anticipated quieter periods.

This trial will operate during 2009. On the less busy weeks all nights, excluding, Fridays and Saturdays, will discounted at £0.50 per metre per night. This is half normal members’ rate for an overnight stay. Boats must be clearly named and must display their 2009 day permit.

Yellow indicates a major event taking place. Permit holders are not encouraged to stay overnight on the pontoon, but if they do so will pay the standard rate of £1/metre/night, unless participating in the event and paying via the event. Permit holders are requested to note the particularly heavy usage anticipated in the Helgoland visit first arrivals possible from Wednesday 3 June, building up to a ‘full house’ towards the weekend 6/7 June with most of the fleet leaving by Monday 8 June Red indicates a busy period. Normal rates of £1/metre/night apply Blue indicates reduced activity period. Discounted rate of £0.50/metre/night applies.

Please note that ‘7 nights for the price of 6’ will no longer apply to permit holders’ boats as the discounted rate generally gives 7 nights for the price of 4½.

Visitors

The above arrangements will not affect visiting boats, which will continue to pay £2/metre/night and will be able to get ‘7 nights for the price of 6’, assuming fees are prepaid.

All other Marina Rules and Conditions of Use 2009 will continue to apply, including the maximum stay of 2 weeks without specific consent.

Use of the pontoon will be monitored and the company reserves the right to further amend or withdraw this charging scheme during, as well as at the end, of the 2009 summer season trial period.
