A very close finish at the Road Bridge by all accounts with some blustery conditions to contend with along the way. Congratulations to Misty Blue again for coming out on top – it seems anything Eddie can do Brian can match!
- Misty Blue
- Kashangi II
Great turnout on Saturday to welcome in the new sailing season with a few good tales overheard at the BBQ afterwards – something about rules?? Anyway the finalised results are as follows so congratulations to Misty Blue for taking the honours and everyone else for competing and achieving some personal milestones.
1 Misty Blue
3 Smij of Antrim
4 Kashangi II
5 Evening Star
6 Silver Lining
The 2017 Sailing Season officially starts this Saturday with the Commodore’s Regatta followed by a BBQ in the yard. So let’s all dust those cob webs off and put all that winter refit work into practice and get out on the water and enjoy…
Bring along some food and drink for some post sail entertainment at the yard BBQ.
For those that haven’t managed to pick up a hard copy of the latest edition of Fairwind from the Bell Block please click on the link below for a right good read!
The event returns to Granton this year hosted by FYCA
1 September to 4 September 2017
Details to follow but in the meantime add the date to your 2017 sailing schedule
This Sunday’s race start has been amended with the first boat leaving around 2pm NOT 12 as advertised in the club handbook
Friday night is White Sail night! Last one in the series so good turnout expected to get these last valuable points to obtain that top three finish.
RFYC One Design Weekend – Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 August
RFYC have over 20 entries so far. Most yachts do not have engines so will need free access to the outside of the pontoon over the weekend. Best to keep the pontoon as clear as possible but if you do need to use, please use the inside. Any yachts left unattended on an outside berth will be moved.
Thank you in advance for your co-operation, which will be much appreciated by the folk who do not have to move your boat!
